How big is the digital world?


- Until the early twentieth century, the amount of knowledge accumulated by mankind was doubling every 100 years. Now, the total amount of human knowledge is doubling every two to three years, and the crucial role played in this World Wide Web.

- The data created worldwide includes - 80% of user generated data, 20% of Enterprise data.

- The volume of Enterprise data worldwide, across all companies, doubles every 1.2 years, according to estimates. The volume of data consumers produce doubles every two years.

- 1,820 TB of data is created every 60 seconds.

- By 2020, there will be 50x more data than today.

- 2.7 Zetabytes of data exist in the digital universe today.

- By 2020,business transactions on the internet- business-to-business and business-to-consumer – will reach 450 billion per day.
